Re-envisioning the future of the east end of Long Island.

This blog/site is a collection of ideas, proposals and essays specifically concerning the future of the east end of Long Island, NY. It was created by artist Scott Bluedorn as a way to organize and display a variety of perspectives regarding urban planning, architecture, energy infrastructure, sustainable design and policy that the 22nd century and beyond will require in an era defined by multiple global problems like climate change, massive income disparity, human conflict and resource scarcity. We view these challenges in the microcosm of our unique geography and socio-ecomomic position, while also considering the macrocosm of the larger world. Posts will include material authored by creatives, policy makers, philosophers, designers, and even the general public. We invite you to submit your ideas and concepts envisioning the future of the east end of Long Island.
